Dr Ruth March OBE FMedSci

Ruth March is Senior Vice President of Precision Medicine at AstraZeneca where she has used her scientific knowledge and passion for patient benefit to build AstraZeneca’s Precision Medicine capability from scratch to a function of 120 highly skilled diagnostic experts. Since inception, the group has delivered 25 approved diagnostic tests linked to 5 precision medicines and now more than 90% of AstraZeneca’s clinical pipeline is following a precision medicine approach, a testament to Dr March’s leadership. Dr March is passionate about UK life sciences, exemplified by her creation and leadership of AstraZeneca’s ambitious Genomics initiative in 2016 to sequence up to 2 million genomes by 2026.
