Professor Richard Hughes FMedSci

Professor Richard Hughes is Professor of Neurology at the Guy’s Kings & St Thomas’s Medical School in London. He is known worldwide for his research on peripheral neuropathies and for his contributions to the study of Guillain-Barré syndrome. He has performed important therapeutic studies in Guillain-Barré syndrome, showing the benefit of treatment by plasma exchange and intravenous immunoglobulin.
