Professor Paul Kaye FMedSci

Paul Kaye is Professor of Immunology at the University of York. He is an outstanding immunologist, specialising in the neglected tropical parasitic disease leishmaniasis. He is internationally recognized for research on macrophages and dendritic cells, contributing to a fundamental understanding of their biology in health and disease. His leading role in immune-parasitology is recognised internationally and his work also impacts beyond parasitology, particularly as coordinator of a Europe-wide network studying multiple aspects of stromal cell biology. He has extensive links with endemic disease countries, notably India, Brazil, Sudan and Sri Lanka, providing training opportunities for UK and overseas researchers.
