Neena Modi, Professor of Neonatal Medicine at Imperial College London, has made unique contributions to children’s biomedical science through highly respected leadership, original science, research innovation, and influencing national policy. |As Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health President, she led “Turning the Tide”, a major report on children’s research, and a revision of children’s research ethics guidance. She initiated development of a Children’s Research Charter endorsed by UNICEF, in which children explain how they wish to be involved in research. Professor Modi is a current member of the UK National Research Ethics Advisory Panel, and has contributed to a number of UK research policies and strategy.
