Senior Group Leader at London Research Institute, Michael Way is a world leader in the fields of cell biology and cellular microbiology. His discoveries and conceptual advances have led to a clearer understanding of cytoskeletal regulation and host-pathogen interactions, with important implications for clinical medicine. His work has had far-reaching impact, not only on research into mechanisms regulating viral spread but also on the role of signalling and cytoskeletal function in a variety of fundamental cellular processes. He is internationally recognized by both the cell biology and microbiology communities, being an elected member of EMBO and a Professor of Virology at Imperial College.
