Mark Cragg is Professor of Experimental Cancer Biology at the University of Southampton and is a leader in the mechanistic understanding of structure and function for therapeutic antibodies. His work has defined the developmental path for new lymphoma treatments and has extended to means of enhancing immunotherapy agonist properties across a range of targets, by modification of antibody molecular structure. He has successfully trained over 35 PhD students, many going on to senior positions in academia or industry, and his impact in training the next generation of biomedical researchers is also realised through his leadership of an integrated PhD programme and Directorship of the MRC doctoral training programme in Biomedical Sciences.
