Dr. Jina Swartz FMedSci

Jina Swartz is Therapeutic Area Head of Neuroscience and Executive Medical Director at Merck, Sharpe & Dohme. |She is a clinical neurologist and a rare example of someone who has managed to effectively span working in Industry and Academia. She has led the development of both symptomatic and potentially disease modifying drugs for Alzheimer’s disease and has an in depth understanding of the challenges of developing drugs in an aging population. She has also worked on trials in Parkinson’s disease, vascular dementia, cerebrovascular disease, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. Dr Swartz has been involved in discussions at the European Parliament influencing policy change in dementia strategy across Europe. |
