Jason Carroll is Senior Group Leader at Cancer Research UK. By developing and applying new genomic technologies, Dr Carroll has redefined our understanding of breast and prostate cancer aetiology and drug resistance, revealing extraordinary information about pathways involved in tumour evolution and future therapeutic targets. |His laboratory has been actively developing and assessing new approaches for high throughput screening of small molecule inhibitors against pioneer factors. The development of these assays is conducted with the goal of exploiting them for any transcription factor of interest. His approaches circumvent several of the common technical and biological problems associated with cell based screens.
