Professor Jane Davies OBE FMedSci
Jane Davies is Professor of Paediatric Respirology & Experimental Medicine at Imperial College London and is a physician scientist working in rare diseases in children, particularly cystic fibrosis. She leads an internationally respected translational research programme at Imperial/Royal Brompton Hospital in the development of transformative therapies for people with CF.
Her major programmes include being international lead investigator on over 40 clinical trials from phase I-IV and including the first in infants with small molecule cystic fibrosis transmembrane regulator protein modulator drugs, leading to licensing of 4 CFTR modulators with transformative health benefits. Through leadership roles internationally, she is shaping research infrastructure, to accelerate pace to improve wellbeing for people with CF.
