Graham Williams is Professor of Endocrinology at Imperial College London He has developed a multidisciplinary approach in mouse genetics, imaging and molecular cell biology to establish cutting-edge methodology in functional genomics and skeletal phenotype analysis. His pioneering research has changed clinical practice by underpinning the latest international guidelines that now focus long-term management to limit the detrimental skeletal consequences of thyroid hormone excess in millions of thyroid cancer survivors worldwide. As President of the UK Society for Endocrinology, he has been an influential leader making seminal contributions to the national strategic development, advocacy and governance of endocrinology.
