Professor Graham Hart FMedSci

Graham Hart is Director of the UCL Centre for Sexual Health and HIV Research. He is a leading social scientist in the sexual health field. He was instrumental in setting up, and then evaluating, the first dedicated needle-exchange for drug users in the UK and this work contributed to the adoption of this effective method of harm reduction in many other countries. His work on sex education in schools and the introduction of HIV testing to antenatal clinics has had a major impact on policy in the UK. His research on men who have sex with men has informed HIV prevention strategies both here and abroad.
