Frances Mair is Norie Miller Professor of General Practice at the University of Glasgow. She is an internationally recognised leader in primary care, multimorbidity, and digital health research. Through pioneering conceptual frameworks, rigorous empirical studies, and translation into clinical practice and policy, her contributions have shaped multimorbidity research globally, influenced health service delivery, and provided practical tools to optimise care for patients with complex needs. Professor Mair leads and contributes to major interdisciplinary collaborations spanning medicine, computing, engineering, and social sciences, often working with industry, policymakers, and third-sector organisations and is Director of the world’s only multimorbidity PhD programme for health professionals.
