Cornelia van Duijn is Chair of Epidemiology of the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford. She is a leader in genetic-epidemiologic research focusing on dementia making major contributions to our understanding of genetic, metabolic and vascular risk factors. |She served on the European Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease Surveillance Network, leading the epidemiological and genetic data analysis, making major contributions to the prevention of human-to-human transmission of the BSE related variant-CJD form in the UK and EU. She is an esteemed leading figure in several international genome wide association consortia and served on various European and global scientific committees. |
