Christopher Mason, Chief Scientific Officer at AVROBIO, is internationally recognised as a leading figure in cell and gene therapy science and translation. AVROBIO, a gene therapy company founded by Professor Mason, is one of the leading ex-vivo gene therapy companies. Professor Mason has spent his academic and commercial career championing the scientific and commercial translation of cell and gene therapies through a combination of his research leadership when at UCL, charitable work supporting the funding of world-class science, influencing UK government on its science policy, facilitating collaborations with industry, and enabling the engagement of all stakeholders, including most importantly the patients and the public.
