Professor Caroline Sabin, Professor of Medical Statistics & Epidemiology at University College London, is a world-leading HIV epidemiologist and medical statistician, whose paradigm-changing research on the natural history of HIV, its management and contribution to ongoing morbidity and mortality, has improved the care of people with HIV worldwide. Her research on the associations of antiretroviral therapy with cardiovascular outcomes resulted in rapid changes to international management guidelines and to the global HIV research agenda. She is strongly committed to building research capacity through provision of training, supervision and mentoring of junior clinical and academic staff and has published a best-selling medical statistics textbook.
