Carol Brayne is an internationally recognized leader in academic public health at Cambridge. She has made outstanding contributions to dementia research and to our understanding of the ageing brain and the studies she leads are acclaimed internationally. She has measured changing dementia prevalence, behavioural and psychiatric symptoms in dementia, and depression prevalence; research which is critical to defining long-term care needs for our population. |She has also made remarkable contributions to public health, notably through Directorship of the Cambridge Institute of Public Health and through capacity building in public health and has been the prime moving force in major initiatives with national profiles. |
