Professor Bryan Turner FRS FMedSci

Professor Bryan Turner is Professor of Experimental Genetics in the Department of Anatomy at the University of Birmingham. His work has focused on the control of gene expression through the packaging of DNA into chromatin, specifically on the role of the histones and their modification by acetylation. Professor Turner was among the first to recognise the potential importance of histone acetylation in gene control and his contributions to the field have been fundamental.
