Professor Jon Nicholl CBE FMedSci

Professor Jon Nicholl is Professor of Health Services Research and the Dean of the School of Health and Related Research in the Faculty of Medicine Dentistry and Health at the University of Sheffield. His main field of research is the evaluation of emergency and urgent first contact care and services, particularly Accident and Emergency services, including trauma services and chest pain care; ambulance services; and urgent first contact care services. Jon is an exceptionally clear thinker and speaker, with a close understanding of national healthcare policy. The pressing current need for major new developments in health care evaluation and in public health, in order to target resources and reduce health inequalities, is obvious.
