Dr Jeffrey Barrett FMedSci

Jeffrey Barrett is the Chief Scientific Officer at Genomics plc, where he leads the company’s scientific strategy to use genomic science to find new drug targets for serious diseases and to deliver precision health. He was formerly a Director of Open Targets, a public-private initiative to bring the power of genomics to drug discovery inside major pharmaceutical companies.|As part of the Deciphering Developmental Disorders project, Dr Barrett has shown how large-scale statistical analyses of sequences from over 12,000 families with a child with a severe developmental disorder can complement traditional clinical genetics.|
