Professor Dyfrig Hughes FLSW FMedSci
Dyfrig Hughes, Professor of Pharmacoeconomics at Bangor University, has made outstanding contributions to the field of pharmacoeconomics — the branch of health economics concerned with the efficient use of pharmaceutical products and services. His research on the cost-effectiveness of medicines and other health technologies is world-leading and has informed policy and practice across multiple jurisdictions.
His contributions both in generating evidence for implementation and providing service leadership are setting the agenda for pharmacogenomic services and he has collaborated extensively with partners from academia, industry, health services and policy across many countries, on research aimed at improving the methods, conduct, and reporting of medication adherence studies.
