Professor Diana Gibb FMedSci
Diana Gibb is Professor of Epidemiology at the MRC Clinical Trials Unit at UCL. She has made outstanding contributions to the health of children worldwide through her leadership in infectious disease epidemiology. Nationally, she provided the evidence underpinning universal HIV screening in England and Wales, while globally, the impact of her clinical research includes contributing key evidence to multiple WHO Guidelines leading to effective rollout of treatments and management for HIV-infected African children. Professor Gibb has also imaginatively addressed the challenges of communication with patients, their communities, trial sponsors, funders and Ministries of Health - not least with innovative use of audio- visuals to give voice and vision to the trials process and participants.
