We believe that researchers must be supported throughout their careers to fulfil their potential. The Foulkes Foundation Academy of Medical Sciences Medal is one way we recognise and support early career researchers.

Summary

We award the Foulkes Foundation Academy of Medical Sciences Medal every two years to a biomedical or health researcher for outstanding achievements early in their career.

Who can apply

You can be nominated for the Foulkes Foundation Academy of Medical Sciences Medal if you are a post-doctoral researcher and have gained your PhD in approximately the last 10 working years. If you have taken time out early in your career due to family commitments, illness or for similar reasons, that will be taken into consideration.

You can apply if you are based in the UK or have previously lived in the UK.

We welcome nominations from all fields related to biomedical and health research.
