Susan Jebb, Professor of Diet and Population Health at the University of Oxford, has dedicated herself to improving the dietary health of the nation by concerted engagement with government and policy makers, and by direct communication with the general public. She has a strong portfolio of randomized controlled trials that have directly contributed to dietary recommendations. In addition, Professor Jebb has been a real champion of the public understanding of science, working closely with the food industry to encourage reformulation of products to reduce fat, sugar and salt, and promote nutrition labelling. She is an exceptional role model for Women in Science culminating in her Chair at Oxford University as the first female Professor in her department.
