Professor Paul Elliott is Head of the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health in the Division of Primary Care and Population Health Studies at Imperial College School, at Imperial College. He has made major contributions to the investigation of lifestyle and nutritional factors underlying hypertension. His studies on incineration, radio and TV transmission, oil refining, and other pollution sources, have provided unique quantification of population risk and allowed claims of disease excess to be put in a proper public health context.
