James Larkin is a Medical Oncologist and Reader in Cancer Medicine at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research. He leads an internationally renowned translational clinical trials program that has led to profound insights into cancer evolution and drug resistance. His work has been central to the approval of checkpoint inhibitors and small molecules in melanoma and Renal Cell Carcinoma. Dr Larkin is also chair of the CRUK Clinical Research Monitoring Panel, and was elected to the Board of Directors of the US Kidney Cancer Association in 2015 and is currently the only non-US member.
