Madan Babu Mohan, Endowed Chair in Biomedical Data Science at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, USA, has pioneered a data-science approach, combining fundamental biological questions with state-of-the-art computational and experimental techniques to make important discoveries. He distils enormous amounts of data into universal principles with direct relevance to biology and biomedical research.
