Frank Kelly is Professor of Environmental Health at King’s College London. He has international standing as a leader and visionary in the field of air pollution and health sciences. He chairs the Department of Health’s Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollution advising Government on the impact of air pollution on health. He is a pioneer in helping to understand mechanisms of the toxic effects of particulate pollution on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems publishing key papers on the toxicological mechanisms of ozone, nitrogen dioxide and particulate matter pollution. |Professor Kelly has pioneered the use of social media and mobile phone technology designing the award-winning LondonAir website providing free, real time air quality information for London’s Boroughs.
