Fiona Godlee is the former Editor in Chief of The BMJ and was the first woman to hold the position. She is internationally recognised as a leading voice in health and healthcare and as an influential speaker, convener and facilitator. She has written, researched and campaigned on a wide range of issues relating to scientific integrity, publication ethics, healthcare improvement and public health. She has successfully built and led award winning multidisciplinary teams developing and delivering medical knowledge products and services and has established and led international initiatives and research programmes focussed on improving the quality of research, advancing public health and tackling climate change.
