Clare Bryant, Professor of Innate Immunity at the University of Cambridge, is an academic veterinarian, internationally renowned for her creative research in infectious disease and sterile inflammation. She identified Toll-like receptor 4 as a novel therapeutic target for allergies, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, and leads drug discovery programs with industrial partners for these diseases, combining her pioneering research with her commercial collaborations to facilitate rapid translational advances for human and animal health. Professor Bryant’s leadership in innate immunity is widely recognised by her international peers particularly her creation of the popular online Inflammazoom seminar series. She also holds editorial roles in innate immunity at the Journals of Immunology and Biological Chemistry.
