Professor Tao Dong FMedSci

Tao Dong is Ita Askonas Professor of Translational Immunology at the University of Oxford. She is a leading figure in the study of T cell immunity to viral infections making a significant impact on our understanding of diseases like HIV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2, and monkeypox. She has a remarkable record of fostering international collaboration, establishing collaborative links with China through the creation of the CAMS Oxford Institute with the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. Professor Dong provides an outstanding role model to women and ethnic minorities and has done much to enhance the facilities and strengthening of the next generation of scientists in Oxford.
