Professor Sergio Quezada is Professor of Cancer Immunology and Immunotherapy at University College London and is among the very top cancer immunologists in the UK. He established a research team that has made monumental progress in addressing two critically important questions: what do tumours look like to T cells and how does this affect what they do?, and how do immune checkpoint therapies actually work? He sits at the cutting-edge of knowledge generation and knowledge application, taking leadership roles in major UK and international research initiatives aimed at improving therapies and biomarkers prognostic of treatment responses. He has developed a new immunotherapeutic and is additionally co-founder and CSO of Achilles, a prominent UK cancer immunotherapeutics start-up.
