Professor Roz Shafran FMedSci
Roz Shafran is Emeritus Professor of Translational Psychology at University College London. She is an international leader in clinical psychology, developing the leading cognitive-behavioural theories and treatments for psychopathology. Her seminal work developing enhanced cognitive-behaviour therapy for eating disorders is used for treatment worldwide, resulting in improved and sustainable outcomes for patients.
She co-leads the world's largest study on Long Covid in children and young people, discovering that over 90% of young people with Long Covid three months post infection continue to have impairing symptoms at 2-year follow-up without intervention.
Professor Shafran has made an outstanding, impactful contribution to mental health science across ages and clinical presentations.
