Elected Fellow 2026
Richard Grieve is Professor of Health Economics Methodology at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He has made an outstanding contribution to the methods of health economic evaluation which provide critical evidence for deciding which medical advances are used in practice. New methods for studies that use observational data, cluster randomised trials, and multicentre RCTs have been developed by his team, and have provided evidence that has informed major decisions.
By developing strong partnerships with leading clinicians, statisticians, health economists, patients and qualitative researchers, over 25 years Professor Grieve’s team have consistently delivered rigorous high-quality evaluations of direct relevance to practice.
