Marian Knight, Professor of Maternal and Child Population Health at the University of Oxford, is an outstanding obstetric and perinatal epidemiologist and a leading figure in the maternity field. She has transformed the scientific landscape around understanding and tackling maternal morbidity and mortality, both nationally and internationally.
She has demonstrated the benefits of a clinician trained in epidemiology and population health linking directly with healthcare professionals to generate population-based evidence to improve outcomes and quality of care for pregnant women and infants.
She is a respected advisor to the UK Department of Health, US Department of Health and Human Services, Royal Colleges, World Health Organization, and many bodies within the NHS.
