Professor Kausik Ray FMedSci
Kausik Ray, Professor of Public Health at Imperial College London, has made outstanding contributions to the advancement of medical science via an exceptional body of work in the field of preventive cardiovascular medicine. He has led the conceptual design, delivery and dissemination of research which has been practice changing in the field of lipids and diabetes at a global level.
His work incorporates the early to late-phase development of lipid-lowering agents, “real-world” health services research, epidemiology, creating a unique global registry and the conduct of major cardiovascular outcome trials.
Being among the world leaders in his field is reflected by his appointment as the national lead of the Cardiovascular Disease NIHR Applied Research Collaboration, current EAS President and Co-Chair of the WHF Cholesterol Roadmap.
