Claudia Langenberg is Professor of Medicine and Population Health at Queen Mary’s, University of London. Her achievements are in translating human genetic, proteomic and metabolomic studies into mechanistic insights for diverse diseases across clinical specialties, elucidating underlying biology and delivering important innovations in computational medicine.
Her work spans different areas of science such as the proteogenomic map of diseases, or the use of plasma proteins to predict common and rare disease onset. She is a Public Health Consultant and recommendations arising from her work as editor of the Chief Medical Officer’s Report ‘Generation Genome’ have been implemented as healthcare policy. She actively promotes open science, having led the creation of omniscience.org, an interactive data sharing resource used by scientists globally.
