Professor of Molecular Cell Biology at The Institute of Cancer Research, Clare Isacke is an outstanding cancer cell biologist who has made seminal contributions to understanding how tumour cells interact with their surroundings. These investigations have defined new components and mechanisms in the interplay between tumour cells and their microenvironment. Professor Isacke has chaired, or served on, numerous high-level national and international committees including her current roles as Chair of the CRUK New Investigator Awards Committee, Secretary General of the European Association for Cancer Research and as a member of the CRUK Science Committee. She has worked unceasingly to promote and foster younger scientists and clinicians.
