Christine Watson, Professor of Cell and Cancer Biology at the University of Cambridge, is internationally recognized as one of the most highly respected mammary gland biologists. She has made seminal contributions to understanding the developmental biology of the mammary gland and how this is perturbed in breast cancer. She is Deputy Editor of Breast Cancer Research and Secretary General of the International Association for Breast Cancer Research, overseeing global conferences with clinicians, basic scientists and patient advocates. Professor Watson also engages the public and school children in the medical sciences and is a member of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics.
