Professor Christian Siebold FMedSci

Christian Siebold is Professor of Structural Biology at the University of Oxford. His work has advanced understanding of morphogen signalling in development and disease, including cancer and fibrosis. He has elucidated receptor structures and mechanisms within the Hedgehog and BMP pathways, contributing to the identification of therapeutic targets and informing drug discovery. He has also worked with industrial partners such as Dark Blue Therapeutics, Evotec, and Oxford Science Innovations, on projects that have led to patents. Professor Siebold also engages with the public through outreach activities, including contributions to British Science Week and school engagement initiatives.
