The Governance Committee is a trustee-led sub-committee of Council that provides focused oversight of the Academy’s governance arrangements.
It ensures our governance arrangements remain compliant with trustee duties, Charity Commission expectations and recognised sector best practice.
Role
The Governance Committee's role is to advise Council on governance improvement, committee structures, trustee induction and appraisal, Council skills and effectiveness, and related matters such as conflicts of interest and equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) considerations.
