Party Conferences 2015

The Academy of Medical Sciences, British Academy, Royal Academy of Engineering and Royal Society jointly hosted panel events at three party conferences in 2015.

Following on from joint UK research and innovation events in previous years, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the British Academy, the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Royal Society hosted a series of joint roundtable meetings at the Labour, Conservative and SNP 2015 party conferences attended by parliamentarians, Academy Fellows and other stakeholders.

The discussions, titled "Research and Innovation: solving the productivity puzzle" aimed to engage policymakers, researchers and industry on how to boost productivity across the UK, including strategic approaches to investment and developing skills and capacity for the future.
