Spring Meeting 2017 – we need your support!

The Academy warmly invites all Fellows to attend the annual Spring Meeting for Clinician Scientists in Training. The meeting will be held on 23 February 2017, 09.30 – 18.00 at the Royal College of Physicians in London.

Help us to nurture the next generation of researchers.

This cross-specialty meeting is designed to bring clinical academic trainees together to present their work, meet one another and network with senior scientists. The meeting is an excellent opportunity to support and engage with clinical academic trainees at all stages – from Academic Clinical Fellows and PhD students through to those at the cusp of independent research careers. Trainees really value the opportunity to network with senior academics and the Academy is grateful to those of you who make this possible.

Over 100 early career researchers from around the UK compete in three competitions open to clinical academics: the poster competition (open to everyone); the oral plenary competition (open to pre-doctoral and doctoral researchers); the Young Investigator competition (open to postdoctoral researchers). The research topics, clinical specialties and institutions represented are varied, giving competitors the opportunity to learn about research that they might not be familiar with.

If you are able to attend the Spring Meeting 2017, please help us by acting as a competition judge. No work is required prior to the meeting and clear instructions will be provided.

Please register your interest in supporting the Spring Meeting by confirming your availability to Felipe Fouto - felipe.fouto@acmedsci.ac.uk.
