Professor Sir Brian Greenwood FRS FMedSci awarded the 2012 Canada Gairdner Global Health Award.

The Canada Gairdner Global Health Award 2012 has been awarded to Professor Sir Brian Greenwood FRS FMedSci, London School of Tropical Medicine, for significantly reducing mortality in children affected with meningitis, acute respiratory infection, and malaria.

The Canada Gairdner Global Health Award is given to a scientist whose advances have (or will potentially have) a significant impact on health outcomes in the developing world.
