The event on 12 February will provide a space for clinical academic trainees to network with peers and senior academics, discussing how to form effective collaborations such as international networks, discover more about the Academy’s mentoring scheme, and discuss the increasing opportunities for women in science.
The event, to be hosted by the Academy’s Careers team at Newcastle’s Centre for Life, will be chaired by Professor David Jones, Dean of Research and Innovation at Newcastle University, and is open to all trainees from Foundation Doctors to Clinician Scientists.

- Professor Patrick Chinnery FMedSci, Director, Institute of Genetic Medicine, Newcastle University
- Professor David Adams FRCP FMedSci, Dean of Medicine, University of Birmingham.
- Professor Bob Burgoyne FMedSci, Associate Executive Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Liverpool
