Naomi joined the Academy in May 2017 to support the media launch of the Academy's landmark Enhancing the use of scientific evidence report. She helps to run the Academy’s press and media office, supports digital communications and content production and leads on the Academy’s media training for women Fellows and grant awardees.

Before working at the Academy, Naomi got a taste of science communication working as an intern at the British Heart Foundation, The Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE), and the Science Media Centre where she worked part-time before joining the Academy. Naomi studied Biological Sciences at the University of East Anglia, staying on after she graduated to work in their leading Evolutionary Biology lab.
