Could you help us engage the public, patients, researchers and healthcare professionals to advance medical science in the UK and internationally?

The Academy of Medical Sciences is seeking a talented individual to maximise the impact of our lively and varied communication and event programmes.

You will be joining a small, dynamic communications team to plan, organise and evaluate public and corporate events, as well as supporting print production, digital content development and social media activity. This is a new role in an expanding team with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues from our policy and careers programmes.  

Priorities for the coming year will be supporting a public dialogue on future technology and patient data, and developing a series of horizon scanning events across the UK.

You will be educated to first degree level, and have some experience of organising events and using social media. This could be gained through a previous position, work placements, during your studies or from social activities. Some knowledge of the research environment or the healthcare sector is desirable, but not essential.
