Summary:Four of the UK’s national scientific Academies: the Academy of Medical Sciences, British Academy, Royal Academy of Engineering and Royal Society, are considering the implications of human enhancement technologies for the future of work.Working Group Membership:
The Academies convened a small policy-focused workshop in March 2012, which brought together policy-makers with leading experts from across engineering, science, social science, the humanities and industry. The workshop provided insights into potential enhancements that will arise from advances in science and engineering that are likely to impact on the future of work. It also provided a chance to consider the associated opportunities and challenges for all stakeholders.
